Absolutely not.

These are not the best books ever written; as a matter of fact, they are among the worst. Stephenie Meyer is pretty much an untalented writer who can't take criticism for what it is. HOWEVER. These are still a means of expression, no matter how shallow and vapid they are.

In short, if you wish to show your displeasure at the books... there are better ways than burning books á la Communist organizations, or ignorant Bible-beating groups. Write an essay detailing your dislike, or join a forum (Twilight Sucks is a great site for it, if a bit blunt with its name). But please, do not be ignorant and burn these books. It's tempting, I know, but completely unnecessary. Just don't buy them. Don't read them. And DON'T give unreasonable Twihards more ammunition. After all, the written word is- or should be- protected by the First Amendment.

Burning books, no matter how awful they are, is NEVER okay. Never.
